Guinness on a Shelf

On the top shelf in the kitchen.

Orange Walls

I LOVE my orange walls!

First Coat

The first coat is done. I took this pic with my cell phone so you can't see how crappy it still looks. Guinness approves, though. And she loves the ladder.

Painting Progress

DJ Chuck helped paint. He knows what he's doing.

Work Monkey

Behold, the monkey of despair!

Pleasant Corner

Only parts of my apartment look like a war zone. This end table, with the lovely blue table lamp A gave me, is charming.

Painting Prep

My hallway looks like a crackhouse.

Stripes and Stripes

I made a bold fashion statement today by wearing a striped shirt with a striped suit. I think it worked. No comments necessary on the untucked wrinkles.

Dessert

Butter, flour, sugar, eggs, vanilla, baking powder, and salt = pound cake!

Phoenix Marathon

My sister-in-law ran her first marathon, and I went to be supportive; it was my suggestion in the first place.

Happy New Year

Party chez moi.

More Coffee Delights

I got the best Hannumas present: a Hello Kitty coffee maker! Thanks, G!!!!

Bacon Coffee

My podmate at work thought that bacon and coffee together equal breakfast, so we brewed the coffee with some crumbled bacon. It didn't taste like bacon, it just had a slightly icky aftertaste.

Cuy

An Ecuadorian delicacy.

Docs

Doc Martens are cool shoes.

Since I switched to blogger beta, I can't post from my phone. I've looked for an answer only very perfunctorily, and in the meantime, am sending phone photos to my email, downloading them, then uploading to here. Anyone else have this problem?

Pendulum Art

Oregon Convention Center

Decoupage

I cut up a couple of magazines and catalogs and glued the paper onto this mirror frame (mine was unfinished pine).

Fancy Snack at Work

Mini peanut butter cup cupcake.

Healthy Dinner

Dinner doesn't look quite as delicious as it tastes. It's a salad of lettuce, scallions, toasted almonds, mandarin orange slices, and grilled chicken. Served with a sesame-shitake dressing (from a bottle). Must clearly learn more about my camera.

Urban Chicken

Saw a chicken in the cemetary on my bike ride with M and P on Sunday. I would have ridden right on by if P hadn't noticed it. Thanks to M for the cell-phone pics.
